El Ahora Pueblo Eden 16 Hectares Lifestyle Farm
“El Ahora” is a stunning and highly complete 16 hectares (40 acres) lifestyle property located in one of the most beautiful and demanded rural settings in Uruguay.
The Pueblo Eden rural area, many times compared to the Tuscany, remote and secluded, but at the same time only 40 minutes by car from the cosmopolitan Punta del Este, city and the Atlantic Ocean.
El Ahora has very complete infrastructure all in excellent condition. It has its own energy supply from solar panels and a windmill and it is also connected to the electrical grid.
It sits on a natural aquifer, it has 2 ponds (one 9 meters deep populated with catfish), a stream that runs all year round, canyons and indigenous forests with many species of native trees. Fresh water for the house is supplied from a 43 meters deep well.
The entire property has fantastic native flora and fauna resources, and it is a special place for trekking, horse riding, bird watching and other nature related activities.
It also has some production for self consumption including a couple of beef stock, sheep, and chickens.
There is a fruit garden with approximately 60 fruit trees (between 4 and 7 years old orange, mandarin, grapefruit, blackberry, apple, plum, peach, fig, olive, avocado, etc.), a vegetable garden, and a root-cellar.
A special chapter needs to be dedicated to the housing, with over 500 square meters built including main house, guests houses, caretaker’s place, service, and workshop area.
The main house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (one in-suite with a sitting room), open living room, dining room & kitchen with breakfast bar.
There is a guest house in a magical spot overlooking the stream.
There is also a playroom adjacent to the main house with wonderful views overlooking the pond and a large infinity edge swimming pool. This can also be used as another guest house.
It has a complete house for the caretaker with a living/kitchen area, two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
Finally, there is a big barn, a solar cooled food storage area for food and supplies, as well as a small maid quarters and a workshop area.
As good as it gets in Pueblo Eden!
